Business of Health

Health is a multi-billion dollar industry. It is a necessity in our very complex environments. Inclusion in all aspects of health care has now become a mandatory part of what health organizations offer in their services either directly or indirectly.

Population Health

“Population health is taking responsibility for managing the overall health of a defined population and being accountable for the health outcomes of that defined population.” (Paul Brashnyk, MPH, Interim Director of Clinic Operations, UW Neighborhood Clinics).  Population health also is “the health outcome of a group of individuals, including the distribution of such outcomes within the group.” (David Kindig and Greg Stoddart, 2003).  Leggette ETI combines these two separate definitions cohesively for our approach to population health solutions: the understanding of how community supportive entities are accountable for the direct and indirect effects on health outcomes.

Knowing who’s accountable helps us understand what outcomes to gauge and anticipate.  Our population health clients embrace our approach for public safety, health surveillance, business management, and research; all within the confines of quantitative and qualitative analysis to outcomes.

Community Health

Leggette ETI engages the community through a variety of health initiatives. Members of the team participate in research for informed decision-making, training individuals to become Community Health Workers, data collection and analysis, and project management and coordination.
